As an artist and creative, natural beauty has always inspired me; the world is never prettier than when it is drenched in color, from the skies and the trees to the flowers and bees that buzz around them. There is just something about flowers…they feel like love, you know? It’s why weddings and flowers are so synonymous, like two sides of the same coin.

Flowers hold the power to shape our mood, transform an entire space, and create something you can feel. My floral designs are inspired by my Grammy’s garden, incorporating the whimsical beauty of nature into every arrangement. Gardens have always reminded me of the incredible, strong, beautiful women in my family who have shaped me and watched me grow in my own garden of life.

There is an entire language that can be spoken with flowers, with colors, and varieties representing different intents and emotions. One of my favorite things in the entire world is creating a design that captures a person’s unique style and leaves a lasting impression.

Love is the foundation of everything we create, and nothing would make me happier than helping you and your partner celebrate YOUR love. I want this to feel like home at the end of a long day, and for you to feel like part of our family!

Flowers, love, and art…that’s what I hope to encompass as we build something beautiful in this crazy world.

The Powell Legacy

The Powell family has been part of the wedding industry long before Powell’s Bouquet was founded. What began as a business venture between two sisters has grown into a lasting legacy, carried through generations and evolving into multiple Powell family wedding businesses.

MOTHER'S BOUQUET

The Powell family’s journey in the wedding industry began in 1974 with the founding of Mother’s Bouquet, a florist shop in Pinson, Alabama.

Founded and run by Grammy and her sister, Aunt Fay, the shop specialized in floral design for all occasions, along with catering and additional wedding services. It didn’t take long for the small business to become a beloved staple in the Birmingham area. Pawpaw also joined the wedding fun as a professional photographer and would tag along to capture photos of couples and their families throughout the years.

For years, Grammy and Aunt Fay thoughtfully selected and arranged blooms, creating beautiful bouquets and designs that brought joy to countless celebrations. Over time, Grammy went on to pursue other business ventures, and Aunt Fay eventually sold Mother’s Bouquet. Still, the legacy of the shop and the joy it brought to so many remains a cherished part of the Powell family story.

POWELL'S BOUQUET

After a rebrand in 2024, the business now operates as Powell’s Bouquet, paying tribute to Grammy and Aunt Fay’s original shop and their lifelong passion for bringing happiness to others.

Powell’s Bouquet is owned and operated by Jacquee and her husband Michael, with the support of the extended family in continuing to carry forward Grammy’s legacy.

Each bloom is carefully selected and arranged with the same care and attention to detail she was known for, ensuring every bride receives a stunning bouquet designed to bring joy and meaning to their celebration.

SIS FLORAL & EVENTS

Fast forward to 2020, owner Jacquee and her sister Taylor decided to revive their grandmother and aunt's former business by re-founding it as Sis Floral and Events. They inherited Grammy's natural talent for planning and hosting events, having spent their entire lives watching her create meaningful moments for others.

Taylor also carried forward Grammy’s passion for baking, making it no surprise that both sisters felt called to continue the family legacy of spreading joy through flowers, food, and weddings.

Together, they thoughtfully planned and designed countless weddings, parties, and special events for clients, working side by side to create lasting memories for couples and their families.

Thanks to the legacy built by our grandparents, the Powell family name has grown into something deeply rooted in love, craftsmanship, and celebration. Alongside Powell’s Bouquet, we are proud to stand beside our family in their own creative paths.

Each business carries its own artistry, yet all remain connected through one shared foundation: our grandparents’ legacy and the commitment to serving couples with care, creativity, and love. Together, these businesses reflect more than just a family tradition; they represent a continuing story of love, collaboration, and celebration passed down through generations.
